چکیده
Abstract Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky 1853) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), the Asian Longhorned Beetle, is native to temperate and subtropical areas of China Korean peninsula. Due its wide range host plants, it considered among most economically important invasive plant pests. The morphological identification A. larvae can be confirmed by DNA barcoding, but obtaining specimens from infested trees a demanding challenging task. Therefore, non-invasive diagnostic tools based on extracted frass samples key importance in phytosanitary surveys. In this study, an silico generated real-time quantitative PCR test was developed for detection material, which naturally extruded larval tunnels through cracks bark. Specificity against other wood-boring insect species frequently encountered during surveys inclusivity demonstrated different populations all main European outbreak areas. proved sensitive reliable detecting woody material Acer saccharinum Aesculus hippocastanum at least up 100-fold dilution. Furthermore, allowed molecular any life stage insect, including eggs young larvae, whose impossible or very challenging. This study provides tool detect thus allowing sampling approach.

Toxicity of ethanedinitrile to Anoplophora glabripennis (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) larvae.
The mortality of naked Anoplophora glabripennis Motschulsky (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) larvae exposed to ethanedinitrile (cyanogen; C2N2) varied with temperature, time of exposure, and dose of ethanedinitrile. The concentration x time (Ct) product of ethanedinitrile over a range of temperatures (4.4, 10.1, 15.6, and 20.1 degrees C) decreased with increasing temperature, for both 3- and 6-h expo...

Developmental thresholds, degree-days for development, larval weights, and head capsule widths for each larval instar and the pupal stage of Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) were studied at eight constant temperatures (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40°C) for two source populations (Ravenswood, Chicago, IL [IL], and Bayside, Queens, NY [NY]). The estimated lowe...
متن کاملPotential Geographic Distribution of Anoplophora glabripennis (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in North America
—The potential for ecological and economic damage caused by invasive species is only beginning to be appreciated. A recently arrived, and particularly worrisome, invader in North America is the Asian longhorned beetle Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky), the larvae of which damage trees and forests. The geographic extent and likely path of its possible invasion of North American forests, how...
متن کاملIntegration of Visual and Olfactory Cues in Host Plant Identification by the Asian Longhorned Beetle, Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)
Some insects use host and mate cues, including odor, color, and shape, to locate and recognize their preferred hosts and mates. Previous research has shown that the Asian longicorn beetle, Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky), uses olfactory cues to locate host plants and differentiate them from non-host plants. However, whether A. glabripennis adults use visual cues or a combination of visua...

Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), a pest native to China and Korea, was discovered in North America in 1996. Currently, the only reliable strategy available for eradication and control is to cut and chip all infested trees. We evaluated various doses of the systemic insecticides azadirachtin, emamectin benzoate, imidacloprid, and thiacloprid for control of A. gl...
